Drunk Driver Gets Life Threatening Injuries In Rollover

(South Glengarry) – As a result of an ongoing investigation into a single motor vehicle collision, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged the male driver of the vehicle involved.

On June 18, 2016 at approximately 8:57pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Fraser Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a mini-van, driven by Kevin MASSIA (49) of Cornwall, Ontario was southbound when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. The driver (lone occupant) was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On July 26, 2016, the driver was charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol

– Care or Control Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on August 10, 2016.
