On the 26th of September 2015 at approximately 2:20am an Owen Sound Police Officer observed a vehicle leaving a liquor license establishment in the 300 block of 8th Street East. The driver drew attention to himself when he accelerated away from the bar at a high rate of speed.
The officer conducted a traffic stop which resulted in a roadside demand. The driver, a 29 year old Cambridge man was arrested after failing the road side. Subsequent breath tests revealed the male had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system. As a result he was charged with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood and given an October court date.
