(POWASSAN, ON) – On March18, 2015, at approximately 3:45 a.m., a member of the Powassan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on highway 11, Municipality of Callander. The officer noticed a vehicle enter onto the highway and drive southbound in the northbound lane. The vehicle was stopped and, upon further investigation, the driver, Douglas MANARY, age 24, of North Bay was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused was released and is to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on March 31, 2015.
