(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On August 18, 2017, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in the area of Hyde Park Road and Ilderton Road.
The officer observed an un-plated, Kawasaki off-road motorcycle and initiated a traffic stop.
The officer determined that the 40-year-old male driver of the motorcycle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to an OPP detachment for breath tests.
As a result of the police investigation, Jason DREDGE, of Middlesex Centre, ON, has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC). The accused has also been charged with Unlawfully Drive Off Road Vehicle (ORV) on highway, ORV Not Property Insured and No ORV permit, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The accused’s vehicle has been seized for 7 days and his Driver’s Licence has been suspended for 90 days.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on September 11th, 2017.
