Drunk Driver Arrested On Hwy 6 – MARSHALL

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On October 21, 2017 at approximately 8:10 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint after a vehicle was observed being driven erratically north bound on Highway 6 in the Township of Chatsworth.

Police stopped the suspect vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet Impala, on Highway 6 north of Williamsford, and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A partial bottle of liquor which was observed behind the front passenger’s legs was seized.

After registering a Fail on the roadside breath screening device, the driver was arrested and transported the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which she failed.

51-year old Deborah MARSHALL of Guelph was charged with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood. She was also charged with driving a motor vehicle with open liquor under the Liquor Licence Act and careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

She is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on November 9, 2017.
