(Tweed, ON) – On November 29, 2014 at 3 a.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a 911 call to a residence on Turcotte Road in the Municipality of Tweed. The investigation revealed a female was assaulted by her intoxicated common-law spouse who also damaged the telephone in an attempt to prevent her from calling for assistance.
As a result, the 36 year old Tweed, ON man was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault, Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke Another Person, Domestic Mischief and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
