(North Dundas) – On November 20, 2014 at approximately 10:37pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checks on County Road 7 at Marionville Road, North Dundas Township. A check of a vehicle resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of suspected marihuana.
A passenger, Sebastien DUQUETTE (21) of St-Albert, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on January 6, 2015.
(North Glengarry) – On November 21, 2014 at approximately 1:16am, SD&G OPP officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checks on Fair Street in the Village of Maxville, North Glengarry Township. Officers observed a vehicle evade the initiative and proceeded to intercept the vehicle. The driver stopped and fled on foot. A small quantity of suspected cocaine was located and seized from inside. Further information led officers to arrest an adult male at approximately 3:00pm.
Christopher NEWTON (20) of North Glengarry Township is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on January 7, 2015.
