(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 25, 2015 at approximately 5:01 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. program on Wellington Road 18 in front of the Centre Wellington OPP Operations Centre. Police spoke with a male driver and 3 passengers. Open containers of alcohol were observed and during the search suspected marihuana and suspected hashish was found. A male was arrested and released at the scene with court documents.
50-year-old Allan HAMILTON of Hamilton is charged Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams and Possession of Cannabis Resin over 1 gram contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle with an Open Container of Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 12, 2016.
