(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 7, 2014 at approximately 12:40 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Lake Road near Butler Avenue in Puslinch Township.
At this time and location, police spoke with the female driver of a 1997 Ford pick-up truck that entered into the check point and immediately detected the strong odour of burnt marihuana. Police subsequently seized a small quantity of marihuana.
Amanda-Lee CUNNINGHAM aged 32 of Parry Sound has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 21, 2014 to answer to the charge.
