(Essa Township, ON) On Friday the 10th of October 2014, members of the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a residence in Essa Township.
Officers from the Nottawasaga OPP, the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit, Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit made entry into the residence and seized drugs.
Two people were charged as a result, female 48-year old Valerie McGILL and male 18-year old Cody SMITH both of residents of Angus. Both have been charged with the following:
Possession of a Schedule II substance (cannabis marihuana), Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule II substance (cannabis marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking, Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, Criminal Code of Canada.
