Drug Bust In Dunnville

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Haldimand County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and members of the West Region Drug Enforcement Unit executed Search Warrants on two residences on Alder Street in Dunnville on October 9, 2015.

As a result of the investigation, the Haldimand County OPP have charged the following people with the following offences.

23-year-old Taylor-Marie BURSE of Haldimand County has been charged with possession of a schedule l drug for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a schedule lI drug less than 30 grams under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and improper storage of a firearm under the Criminal Code of Canada.

23-year-old Jeremy POTH-CRUMB of Haldimand County has been charged with possession of a schedule l drug for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a schedule Il drug less than 30 grams under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and improper storage of a firearm under the Criminal Code of Canada.

43-year-old Sherry POTH of Haldimand County has been charged with improper storage of a firearm under the Criminal Code of Canada.

All the involved persons will appear in the Haldimand County Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charges.

This event comes just days before the OPP are hosting a Town Hall Meeting at the Dunnville High School on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 7:00 p. m.

The meeting will give the community an opportunity to meet local OPP officers and get some great information. We will have presentations on the following topics:

Drug enforcement in your community

Lock it or Lose it program

Crime Prevention through environmental design (CPTED)

Crime Stoppers

Addictions Awareness

The role of the Children’s aid society (CAS).
