(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) – On September 20, 2013 at 11:01 am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP West Region Canine unit and the South Bruce OPP executed a search warrant at a residence along Bruce County Road 40 in Elderslie Township.
A quantity of marijuana and prescription medication was seized from the home. The street value of the marijuana is estimated to be $9,750.
53 year old Alan SOWA of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with Production of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 21, 2013 to answer to the charge.
48 year old Christine SOWA of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with Production of a controlled substance and Fail to comply with recognizance. She has been held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for September 21, 2013.
20 year old Joseph SOWA of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with Production of a controlled substance and Possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 21, 2013 to answer to the charges.
