Early Saturday morning a 41 year old Barrie male attended a friend’s home on Innisfil St. Prior to leaving the residence the male stole a quantity of prescription medication. At approximately 11:05am, on Saturday morning members of the Barrie Police Service received information that a male was selling drugs at the intersection of Tiffin St. and Essa Rd. The officers attended the area and observed the same male involved in a drug transaction. The male was arrested and found to be in possession of a quantity of the stolen medication. The male was charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and theft under $5,000.00. He was held pending a bail hearing.
