DRIVING COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 4, 2014 at approximately 2:37 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a driving complaint about a 2005 Honda that was on Highway 401 and had exited on to Brock Road North. Police located the vehicle and observed the driving. It was stopped near Maltby Road, Puslinch Township. Officers spoke with the male driver and believed that he had consumed alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local Operations Centre for testing.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Priyank SHANDILYA age 25 of Mississauga has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 22, 2014 to answer to the charges.
