DRIVER’S LICENSE SUSPENDED FOR 3 DAYS

(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) suspended a male motorist’s license for 3 days as a result of a vehicle stop.

On the 5th of March 2014 shortly before 2:00am an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop on Huron Street near Minnesota Street in the Town of Collingwood. Interactions with the driver found that he had recently consumed alcohol. As a result the officer subjected him to a roadside breath test which resulted in an ‘alert’ reading. This meant that the driver was within the warn range for drinking and driving.

As such the 38 year-old driver from the Toronto area had his license suspended for three days.
