(THAMES CENTRE, ON) On Sunday August 25, 2013 at 2:26 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Enforcement Team (HET) conducted a traffic stop on HWY 401 at Elgin Road, Thames Centre. At the time police observed that vehicle was travelling in excess of 60km/h over the posted speed limit.
As a result of an investigation police have charged the driver Aditya GUPTA, age 58 of London, ON with Stunt Driving-Excessive Speed as per 172 of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The drivers licence was suspended at the scene and the vehicle was seized for a period of seven days. The driver was released from police custody by-way of a Part III Summons and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on September 23, 2013 to speak to the charges.
