On July 1st 2015 at 5:57pm, Barrie Police observed a motor vehicle on Anne Street North bearing a stolen Ontario licence plate.
A high risk vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was taken into custody.
Through investigation it was learned that the accused male was a disqualified driver following a Criminal Code suspension when the accused struck a motor vehicle killing a person during a police pursuit in 2009.
The accused in this matter has been charged with following offences:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Drive While Disqualified X 2
Fail to Comply With Probation
Drive Under Suspension
Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence
Owner Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
The accused has been held overnight pending a bail hearing in the morning.
