(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On February 13, 2014, just before 5:30 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a motor vehicle on Queens Line near Merlin Road in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
While the officer was speaking with the driver, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.
The driver was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that if you plan on drinking alcohol, it’s not worth taking the risk. Plan ahead by arranging for a designated driver, take a cab or stay overnight.
