(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the driver being charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
On October 2, 2013 an OPP officer conducted a vehicle stop on Kawartha Lakes Road 24 when the driver failed to lower the high beams. Investigation revealed the presence of a small quantity of marihuana.
As a result of the investigation Tracey EVANS, 42 years of age, of Bobcaygeon, was arrested and charged with the offence of possession of marihuana, contrary to the CDSA.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on November 7, 2013.
