(STRONG TWP, ON) On Thursday, July 3, 2014 at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling Highway 11, Strong Township, when a north bound 2006 Honda Civic was stopped travelling at a high rate of speed.
Further investigation by the officer, lead to the driver being arrested for possession of marihuana. The driver, Betsaleel ZONGO, 23 of North Bay Ontario was charged with possession of a substance, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The accused was also charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge, Ontario on Thursday July 24, 2014
