(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver being arrested and charged with two offences.
On July 6, 2014 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 35 near Bethany Hills Road. Further investigation indicated that the driver was failing to comply with conditions of his recognizance.
As a result of the investigation Terry GOULD, 26 years of age, of Scarborough, was arrested and charged with both offences – speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on July 24, 2014.
