On June 19, 2015 at 1:10 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the area of Sunset Crescent for the report of a suspicious male. The male ran from police as they arrived resulting in a search of the area. During the search, a vehicle was observed driving quickly through a parking lot on Willow Road. The vehicle stopped and the driver exited and ran into the underground parking. Police located this male and determined that this was the man being searched for. Continued investigation led to his arrest.
A 29-year-old Brampton male has been charged with refuse to provide breath sample, four counts of breach of probation and four counts of breach of recognizance. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with drive while suspended. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 19, 2015.
