(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged two males with failing to comply with the conditions of their release.
On September 11, 2013 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Orillia OPP Street Crime Unit was conducting foot patrol in Couchiching Park when they noticed three males consuming alcohol in public. Investigation revealed that two of the males were breaching the conditions of their release and were subsequently arrested and have been charged accordingly. A third male was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Consuming Alcohol in a Public Place.
Michael SCANGA, 35 years old of Severn Township, has been charged with 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance.
Kasim JAHIC, 31 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Breach of Probation.
Both males were held for bail and will be appearing in Barrie court today.
