An Owen Sound man faces drug and weapons charges following a police raid at an eastside apartment building. Members of the Drug Unit, Criminal Investigation Branch and Heat Unit entered the apartment this afternoon under the authority of a search warrant.
Police seized approximately $6200 worth of prescription drugs which included Fentanyl and Dilaudid. Also seized was a smaller quantity of marihuana, $4800.00 cash, two rifles, ammunition and two prohibited knives.
Michael Bemister 34 years of 1372 3rd Avenue East, Owen Sound has been charged with:
Trafficking Fentanyl
Trafficking Dilaudid
Possession of Marihuana
Possession of proceeds of crime
Two counts of unauthorized possession of firearm
Two counts of careless storage of firearm
Two counts of possession of prohibited
He remains in police custody pending a bail hearing Friday morning in the Owen Sound Court.
