(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 27, 2015, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Pontiac car eastbound on Park Avenue. The vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of Park Avenue and Highway 40, and then reversed and proceeded southbound on Highway 40.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the male driver. During conversation with the driver, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside test was completed which resulted in the 38 year old driver, from Chatham, being issued a seven day driver’s licence suspension. He has also been charged with Driving Motor Vehicle With Liquor Readily Available, under the Liquor Licence Act.
