(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 24, 2015 at approximately 11:11 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2004 Ford on Wellington Road 36 near Currie Drive in Puslinch Township for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
While speaking with the driver police detected the odour of fresh marihuana within the motor vehicle. Police seized a small baggy containing suspected marihuana and the driver was placed under arrest.
Douglas SPENCE age 27 of Mississauga has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 20, 2015 to answer to his charges.
