Barrie Police were on routine patrol in the downtown core and observed a vehicle weaving into the oncoming lane of traffic.
Police stopped the vehicle and found a 36 year old male under the influence of alcohol.
Police arrested the male for impaired driving and transported him to the Barrie Police Service for a series of breath tests.
The tests revealed the male had consumed almost twice the legal limit of alcohol.
He was held until sober and released with a November Court date.
