Datashred Security provides an opportunity for confidential documents to be shredded this Sunday

(Ottawa) As part of Crime Prevention Week 2013, the Ottawa Police Service will be participating in a fundraiser organized by Datashred Security on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Greenboro Park and Ride near the Southkeys Shopping Centre.

Datashred Security is a shredding company, based in Ottawa since 1994, that will be volunteering their shredding services in return for a food donation.

“Anyone can bring their confidential documents to be professionally shredded,” noted Ottawa Police Staff Sergeant Cori Slaughter, Crime Prevention Section. “The proceeds of the fundraiser of Datashred Security will be donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.”

Ottawa residents are invited to participate in this community event and get rid of those confidential documents they’ve been holding on to because they don’t know what to do with them.
