Donald KLEINSTEUBER – Drive While Disqualified, Rifle On Back Seat, Breach, etc

(Prince Edward County, ON) At noon on the 12th of March an officer on patrol in the Rossmore area observed a vehicle suspected to be operated by a prohibited driver.

The officer pulled the car over and his subsequent investigation confirmed the driver to be on a lifetime prohibition from driving a vehicle. Following a search of the suspect’s vehicle an insecure rifle and ammunition laying on the back seat of the car were located. Besides being prohibited from driving the suspect was also prohibited from possessing a firearm resulting from prior Criminal charges.

The male was arrested, the gun seized and the vehicle impounded under the Province’s Vehicle Impoundement Program.

Donald KLEINSTEUBER age 29yrs of Ameliasburgh has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on the 13th of March in Belleville. KLEINSTEUBER faces multiple Criminal Code Charges including two counts of Drive Disqualified, five Unauthorized Weapons Possession charges and Breach of Recognizance. Several related Highway Traffic Act charges were also laid on KLEINSTEUBER.
