(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – On November 18, members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a domestic dispute that occurred at a County Road 36 residence.
Officers were advised that a 33 year old female and a 46 year old male had been involved in a domestic relationship. On November 17,the two had become involved in argument that quickly became physical. During the dispute the male assaulted the female.
The 46 year old male has been charged with Assault, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm ,and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public.
He was held in custody with a bail hearing scheduled for November 19, 2014 to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts. The victim did not receive any injuries as a result of the incident.
The identities of the parties involved are being withheld due to the nature of the offence.
