Barrie Police were called to a south end apartment for a report of a domestic assault and mischief.
Police were told by the victim, her husband had become upset over a trivial matter and was berating her as he prepared breakfast.
To get the suspect to stop yelling, the victim decided to “pop†a breaker switch, causing the stove to lose power.
An unintended consequence of her actions resulted in the suspect losing his temper and throwing a carton of eggs at her.
He then kicked a hole in a wall and shoved the victim up against the breaker panel.
The suspect returned to making breakfast just as Barrie Police arrived and placed him under arrest.
A 24 year old male is facing charges of assault and mischief and is awaiting a bail hearing.
