On the 12th of March 2014, Barrie Police responded to a disturbance in the cities central area. The complaint was called in by a 54 year old female who indicated she was arguing with her intoxicated boyfriend. When police arrived it was determined that both parties were intoxicated and arguing over relationship issues.
When police had more time to investigate it was revealed that the 54 year old female was not only wanted on a warrant for failing to appear court, she was also on conditions not to consume alcohol. Police subsequently arrested the female on the outstanding warrant and laid the additional charge of failing to comply with her probation.
The female was held pending a bail hearing. Police recommend that if you are wanted on a warrant and in violation of a condition of probation……………….do your best not to have intoxicated arguments with anyone or you may end up in jail!
