(Rockland, ON) On January 30, 2014 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident in Hammond. In font of St-Francis High School a Clarence-Rockland By-Law officer drove up to an altercation between a male and female. The male was assaultive towards the female as they struggled on the side of the road. In an attempt to stop the assault the By-Law officer intervened. At one point as the By-Law officer was assaulted in the face by the female. The OPP attended the location and investigated the matter and as a result both male and female were arrested. Both are known to police.
A 49 year old of Bourget will have to appear in L’Orignal court on March 19, 2014 to answer to the following charge:
CC 267(a) Assault with A Weapon
A 40 year old male of Bourget is being held in custody and is to appear for a Bail Hearing on February 6, 2014 to answer to the following charges:
CC 266 Assault – Spousal X3
CC 733.1(1) Fail to Comply with Probation Order X3
CC 145(3) Fail to Comply with Recognizance
