(Douro-Dummer Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a dog, in the area of Peterborough County Road 40.
Jake, the 2 year of Chocolate Labrador Retriever is the family pet of Jeffery Waldon. The dog went missing on Saturday around 11:00am. The family appealed to social media in hopes of finding Jake.
Sunday, around 7:00pm a dog walker located Jake in a ditch off Eleventh Line Road in the Township of Douro-Dummer. The deceased dog had, clearly, been killed intentionally. The Peterborough County Detachment of the OPP is appealing to members of the public for information on this case of animal cruelty.
