(Ottawa) On Sunday Nov 3rd, 2013 at 14:46 hrs, Ottawa Police Service Patrol Services were dispatched to the OC Transpo-Transitway at South Keys Shopping Centre.
The call for service involved a female having difficulty breathing because of the deployment of pepper spray.
Ottawa Fire Department Hazmat attended and as a result of their work and the police investigation the substance was confirmed to be dog spray”
An investigation is being conducted by the Ottawa Police Service. Three male young persons have been taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
A number of other persons on the bus were contaminated by the dog spray. They were treated by paramedics and released. No serious injuries were reported.
The transitway southbound was closed for approximately one hour and is now re-open. “
