(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, July 18, 2015, at approximately 2:49 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned citizen after witnessing a 2015 Nissan Rogue weaving all over the road, northbound on Hwy. 6, towards Shallow Lake in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police stopped the suspect vehicle on Princess Street in Shallow Lake after it had nearly struck another vehicle that had pulled over to the side of the road. There were five occupants inside the vehicle, including the driver, who denied drinking alcohol.
The driver was given a roadside breath test, which he failed. He was arrested for impaired driving and brought to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests.
Dheeraj Singh PARIHAR, age 32, of Brampton, Ontario was charged with impaired driving and over 80 milligrams.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 6, 2015.
