(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On February 14, 2016 at approximately 7:29 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 6 near Wilder Lake Road in the Township of Southgate.
Investigation revealed that the driver, who had been drinking alcohol, lost control of the vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, entered the ditch and collided into a culvert. He was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.
31-year old Dennis Frazer THOMSON of Angus, Ontario was charged with the following offences:
– Impaired driving
– Over 80 mg
– Possession of marihuana – under 30 grams
– Careless driving
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 10, 2016.
