(BLIND RIVER, ON) – On December 17, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint on Hanes Avenue in the Town of Blind River.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m., police located a vehicle matching the description. While speaking to the driver the officer determined the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverage and was arrested.
As a result, Denis LAWRENCE, 47 years of age, from Blind River, Ontario, was charged with:
Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol), contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC); and
Care of Control Over 80 milligrams, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on January 5, 2017.
