(ESPANOLA, ON)- On September 13, 2016, at approximately 10:56 p.m., members from the Espanola Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar enforcement and initiated a traffic stop on Highway 17, in the township of Baldwin.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the vehicle the male driver was operating was unsafe for the road.
Denan AUGE, 18 years of age, from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township was charged with the following:
Operate unsafe vehicle, contrary to section 84 of the Highway Traffic Act
Speeding, contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner, contrary to section 11(2) of the Highway Traffic Act
The vehicle was towed to a local impound.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola, on October 13, 2016.
