Deer vs Motorcycle Collision

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motorcycle collision at an Evergreen Hill Road, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Sunday, June 12, 2016 at approximately 10:26 p.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a collision involving a motorcyclist and deer.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 47-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontario was operating a motorcycle eastbound on Evergreen Hill Road when he collided with a deer that ran from the side of roadway.

As a result, the driver lost control and began sliding down the roadway on his motorcycle suffering non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a local area hospital for further treatment where he was then taken to a Hamilton Area Hospital for further assessment.

“Police are urging all motorcycle operators to expect the unexpected. Officers that attended the collision were amazed that the driver suffered injuries that were non-life threatening.
