(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Monday July 19, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Perth County OPP officers and Perth County Ambulance personnel were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Elginfield Rd. (Highway 7) south west of St.Marys.
Investigation revealed that an east bound Harley Davidson Motorcycle on Hwy. 7, with two riders from the Township of Lucan Biddulph struck a deer that crossed in a north bound direction in front of them. The collision caused the motorcycle driver to lose control and resulted in him and his female passenger to be thrown from the machine. The 63 year old male driver of motorcycle was transported to the Vic Hospital in London with non life threatening injuries. The 51 year old female passenger was transported to the St.Marys Memorial Hospital also suffering non life threatening injuries.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and the deer was deceased at the scene.
