(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment and the Ministry of Natural Resources are investigating a shooting incident at a Carson Side Road, Middleton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at approximately 11:38 a.m., several hunters where in the process of deer hunting when one of the group shot at a deer using a shotgun. A few moments later others from the group emerged from the bush lot only to realize that a member from their hunting party across the field had suffered from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Norfolk County Paramedics attended the scene, provided emergency first aid and transported the injured hunter a 55 year old, Whitby, Ontario man to a local area hospital with non- life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
