(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Saturday September 21 2013 at approximately 10:35 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motorcycle collision that occurred on Highway 593 in Devon Township.
A passing motorist had located a male lying in a ditch beside a motorcycle and contacted police. OPP, Neebing First Responders and Ambulance responded immediately.
Initial investigation has revealed the male had been out for a ride on his 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle in the afternoon and evening hours when it appears he lost control of the motorcycle and skidded into the ditch.
Richard CROSS, 50 years of age, from Thunder Bay was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
