(ESSA TOWNSHIP, ON) This morning at approximately 8:15am, officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Essa Township Fire Department responded to a report of a burned out motor vehicle in the County of Simcoe Forest located on the south side of County Road 21.
Upon arrival at the scene, a male was located deceased near the motor vehicle. Detectives from the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit are assisting with this investigation and as a result, County Road 21 will remain closed between County Road 56 and the 6th Line of Essa Township until early this afternoon.
The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time pending next of kin notifications. At this time there is nothing to suggest that this death is suspicious in nature.
