(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – Police have identified the victim of last Friday’s fatal motor vehicle collision as Michael WODZINSKI, age 38 of Aylmer, ON.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigation a three (3) vehicle fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred earlier this morning around 6:45a.m. April 22nd, 2016.
The collision occurred on Belmont Road at Yorke Line, Central Elgin. A tractor trailer was on Yorke Line turning north onto Belmont Rd when a Jeep that was northbound on Belmont Rd came upon the tractor trailer and struck it on the driver’s side. As a result of the collision with the tractor trailer the Jeep rolled onto the driver’s side and was immediately stuck by a pick-up truck that was traveling south on Belmont Rd.
The driver and lone occupant of the Jeep, a thirty-eight (38) year-old Aylmer, ON man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Release of the deceased name is pending notification of next of kin.
The driver and lone occupant of the pick-up truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the collision.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators remain on scene assisting with the investigation which is ongoing.
Belmont Road between Wilson Line and Borden Ave. will remain closed until the early afternoon to facilitate the investigation and the clean-up of the scene.
