Debris Thrown From Overpass – Vehicles Damaged – Suspects At Large

(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist after vehicles were damaged by debris thrown at vehicles on Highway 115 between the Otonabee River Bridge Bensfort Road overpass Sunday evening.

This is the second incident of suspects throwing debris at vehicles. On Wednesday September 28, 2016 between 7:45pm and 8:45pm four vehicles were damaged by debris thrown by suspect(s) near the construction zone on Highway 115. Sunday seven more vehicles were damaged near the same location. Police are concerned for the safety of motorists on the Bypass.

Investigators are actively looking for information that may assist in identifying a suspect or suspect(s) in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
