Deborah BABISTER – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 18, just before 8:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a complaint of a Ford pickup truck driving erratically on Highway 401 westbound, near Victoria Road.

The vehicle was located and stopped. Officers spoke with the driver and determined that she had been consuming alcoholic beverages. Further investigation at roadside revealed open liquor within the vehicle.

Subsequent tests indicated that the driver, 55 year old Deborah BABISTER, from Raleigh, was over the legal limit. She will appear in a Chatham Court on May 15, 2015, to answer to the following charges:

· Driving While Ability Impaired

· Driving With More Than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood

· Driving Motor Vehicle With Liquor Readily Available

· Driving Motor Vehicle With Open Container Of Alcohol
