David Earl ROTH – Drive While Impaired By Drug

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Friday May 20, 2016, shortly after 6 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to an address on Main St. South in Milverton where a male who appeared intoxicated urinated on the caller’s property. The male left the area in a pickup truck.

A Perth County OPP officer located the pickup truck and stopped it on Main St. North in Milverton. The male driver displayed signs of impairment and was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel, where he was evaluated by an officer who is a qualified Drug Recognition Expert.

As a result of this evaluation, 62-year-old David Earl ROTH of Kitchener has been charged with “driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (drug), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend at the Stratford Court of Justice on Monday June 06, 2016, to answer to this charge.
