(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, March 28, 2015 at approximately 3:25 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on 5th Avenue West in Owen Sound after the driver had committed various traffic offences while driving in the Township of Georgian Bluffs shortly before.
The driver of the 1987 Chevrolet pick-up truck was found to have been drinking alcohol. After failing a roadside breath test, he was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Owen Sound Police Service for further breath tests which he failed.
David Allen ZIEMBA, age 27, of Southampton, was charged impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams. He was also charged with failing to properly wear a seat belt under the Highway Traffic Act.
ZIEMBA is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, April 16, 2015.
