(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver being charged with alcohol related offences.
On August 3, 2013 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Queen Street in Omemee. The officer stopped the vehicle and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation Daniel SWAN, 50 years of age, of Omemee, was charged with impaired driving and driving while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on September 5, 2013.
